If Webshots cannot connect to the internet, this is almost always caused by third-party antivirus software blocking it. This is called a "false positive" — an error by your antivirus, not a problem with Webshots. We submit every Webshots release to Microsoft for a safety review before publishing it to the Microsoft Store and our website.

Easiest fix: remove your third-party antivirus or use the Microsoft Store version
The simplest solution is to remove your third-party antivirus as Microsoft recommends, or download Webshots from the Microsoft Store instead: here →
The Store version is the exact same Webshots application, but antivirus programs treat it differently. Microsoft independently verifies Store apps as safe, so most antivirus programs automatically trust them and will not block their internet access.
Alternative: add Webshots to your antivirus allowed list
If you prefer to keep your antivirus, add Webshots to its allowed or whitelist. The exact steps vary by antivirus — search for "allow app" in your antivirus settings.
