  • I'm with you, there are too many prescription drugs out there that have horrific side effects, sometimes worse than the disease that they are treating. And because their drug detail people are usually the ones dispensing information (or misinformation, or half-information) to the doctors, the doctors keep prescribing them carte blanche! I usually tell my physician that I'm not interested in hormone replacement therapy, bone replacement therapy (Fosamax, Boniva etc), or Rx anti-inflammatories for that reason. She lets me decide and I do after researching. Too bad more people don't do that!
