Album Info:

Magpie was shot in the calf and separated from his father. In pain, but able to keep moving, Magpie made his way through the area just west of here toward the two large mounds (south of the highway). Almost to the mounds, a soldier overtook him. Magpie, armed with a pistol, shot the trooper. Magpie then escaped by riding with Pushing Bear on the trooper's horse. He rejoined his father that evening after the troops left. Magpie later fought at the Battle of Little Bighorn and became a Chief of the Cheyenne.
