well the 'superior firepower' you're talking about didn't really show itself against the german heavy armor. And the fact that they're using horses is 1).because it's all in russia: That's a big country, especially when you have a strategy so fast that your own supply line couldn't keep up. 2).The germans always scrounged whatever they found. Russian tanks, french and british tanks (tons of those lying around after dunkirk). The main reason that the allies won is a combination of airraids that suffocated the war production, a lot of stupid mistakes made by Hitler (one of the very, very few things that were any good to the world) and a whole lot more allied troops than an slowly exhausting german army could fight. Don't thank Detroit: thank the people who were there on the line pushing the guts back into their buddy's...those were the ones that brought allied victory.
