Lovely. I have a great interest in royal jewels! This one was worn a lot by Diana.

Princess Diana wore her own family tiara, the Spencer tiara for her wedding, this was a gift from the Queen and Diana did wear it often afterwards. Does anyone know whatever happened to it?

I love this album. One note: As per Leslie Field on Pg 113 of "The Queen's Jewels" 1997 edt. the tiara was made in 1914.

This originally had a row of upstanding pearls set above the scrolls between the top row of diamonds. Queen Mary wore it that way but neither Queen Eliz. nor Diana did. Princess Irina Youssoupov had one almost exactly like it, found by the Bolsheviks after the Russian Revolution. Mary would have been familiar with it & may have had hers made to resemble it.

This tiara was actually a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth II to Princess Diana. The Queen had ingerited it from her grandmother, Queen Mary. Presumably, the tiara was willed to Prince William, knowing that his future wife would one day be Queen.

Yes! I thought the same thing. I think it is a little bit different, though.
