Album Info:
Known as "Freddie", FADAC was the first battery fire direction computer. Weighing approximately 200 lbs., it was a transistor, solid-state electronic digital computer for automatic computing and displaying of firing data. Although designed for the demands of use in the field, its reputation for remaining operational in field conditions was fair at best. It was replaced by TACFIRE beginning in 1980.
