Album Info:

Another mock-up of Ena in her wedding dress combining both a sketch and a photo of Ena's face. The public clamour for wedding photos was great enough for several postcard manufacturers to do these composites since there were no official photos of the gown available. Ordinarily one would have expected the new Queen to take several poses in her wedding gown, but owing to the explosion as she left the Church, the gown was stained red with blood from the injured soldiers and horses. Here, the artist placed upon her head the Fleuron Crown -- a wedding gift from Alfonso -- which she did not wear on her wedding and furthermore the crown is a mini-crown. The photo of her face was apparently taken from the 1906 Engagement Photo Session which is one of the pictures posted here.
