So sad for me to see so many American bases close in Germany and the wonderful people shipping out. I grew up next to Hahn AFB and grew up and was surrounded by American Airforce Family Members all my young life. It really shaped me into the person I am today. I always knew that I eventually wanted to move to and live in America. Sadly Hahn AFB too was closed and is now a German charter airport. It is so sad for me to return to my village and see no Americans around any more...my town has changed so much because of it...so sad...
