Here some picture I took with my best friend on the USS Intrepid last summer. Some of these old jets are real cool ,ya can see they are still look like they can fly but they got no engines inside ! I guess they just one step away from going to the scrap yard. Photos by Eric--__In Connecticut

This is an F4-J, I worked on these jets during the Vietnam War in Hawaii for the years 1970, 1971, and 1972 at VMFA-212, which was sent in country in 1972. This was the updated model, the previous model that I worked on in the MARINE CORPS was the F4-B at VMFA-513 at Cherry Point, North Carolina, for the years of 1969 and 1970. The GE J79 engines in these birds where power engines for the early 1970's.
