Lots of fond memories originated from those two rooms. The one to the right is the commo room and telephone switchboard, I think, and the one to the left is the orderly room proper. whoever was on had could give unit messages over the loud speakers. You were supposed to say, "attention in the compound," and give your message to whomever. Usually it went like, "Citizens, soldiers, lend me your ears." The one I normally used was, "Hear ye, hear ye." The first sgt did not like this, and tried hiw damneddest to catch one of us in the act. On top of that hill in the background, out of sight to the left was the officer's club and billets.
