The closest I came to owning a 1940 coupe, was a 1948 Ford club coupe in 1963, my first registered auto, got a pretty stare showing up to get my Mass. drivers licence. Not because I was a good driver, but it only took two city blocks, and one parrallel parking attempt. In the military that lasted for 8 years, original Flathead six. Better known at the time as the "Ninety Dollar Wonder"
