Album Info:

This armored tractor was designed by Benjamin Holt as a prime mover of heavy artillery, principally the 4.7-inch gun up to the 155 mm gun. The tractor had a normal speed of just over four miles per hour but could pull up to twelve tons over rugged terrain. When this tractor was acquired in 1982, it was still in use in a logging camp in Washington. The camouflage color scheme is typical World War I camouflage which used bright or light colors, including white and yellow. The 3-ton Ordnance trailer was designed to carry one gun and limber, saving wear on the artillery pieces.
