103 year old, former enlisted Aviation Chief Radioman (ACRM, Combat Aircrewman), later wartime commissioned Chief Warrant Officer Julio 'Jay' Ereneta, USN (Ret.) is a veteran of World War One and World War Two. Ereneta flew rearseat Radioman/Gunner (1920s/1930s) in the air squadrons of the Navy's first aircraft carriers, USS LANGLEY (CV-1) and USS LEXINGTON (CV-2). Here (4 December 2004) he was honored guest at an aviation seminar ('Planes of Fame' Air Museum, Chino, California) commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the Japanese Attack on the Hawaiian Islands, 7 December 1941.
