I am unsure of the date here; photos finished in a similar way, with deckle edging, are dated 1941. The woman on the right is my mother. I'd guess that the other is her best friend, Florence Jodrey Bishop. This was obviously taken from in front of Artie's store at the corner of Elm Avenue. The building block immediately opposite is still there. I remember the other building from the 50s as housing Van Wart's Hardware and Williams' Jewelery, as well as a meat shop. I believe it had a succession of tenants.
