Album Info:

This was the principal light artillery piece of the U.S. Army at the beginning of the 20th Century. By 1912, the U.S. Army was working on a replacement for the M1902, which never materialized. With America's entry into the war in April 1917, tough decisions had to be made about which guns the American artillery would use in Europe. The French 75 mm easily beat out the M1902 as the best gun and the M1902 was only used for training in the United States.
