Well said, Jeffrey. Many people in the West seem to forget that the Germanic Drang nach Osten was not designed to bring freedom from bolshevism to the Slavic peoples in the East. It was a war of a total annihilation and enslavement of so called "inferior" races. Every German soldier KNEW it and any attempts of some crack pots on this site to justify that genocidal Nazi doctrine is criminal. This pictures show a lot but do not show gas chambers of Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor or mass execution sites in Ponary or Babi Yar. Russian soldiers accepted "rules of engagement" (contradicting any international rules) imposed by the ruthless Nazi aggressors but did not put German children, women and elderly into gas chambers. INDUSTRIAL METHODS OF KILLING people en mass during WWII invented by Germans - otherwise one of the most civilized and technologically advanced European nations - are unmatched in history of world's civilization. The Germans will have to live with it forever... I rest my case

What happened here? Looks like a fence but more of a farmers fence. Three soldiers lined up next to each other closely as if in cover. One soldier on hill to left, other in foreground. Notice two vehicles on road back left with someone standing. Possibly a shell or grenade?
