My Father, 1913-1985. He served in the Canadian Navy on the North Atlantic convoy runs to Europe during WWII, and also was instrumental in organizing Sea Cadet Corps throughout the Maritimes during his later career. Upon retirement, he went back to university and became a teacher. He was on the staff of Horton District High School for some years after that.

Hey Brenda! you father looks like a really nice man. A Lt Com...is that Navy? Must be if he was in the Sea Cadet Corps. I imagine you miss him terribly. This is a really neat photo of him. When it first came up on the page, it reminded me of those old time black and white movies I used to watch growing up that came on saturday afternoons...with him in his uniform and in black and white he reminded me of one of those old movie stars. ....so he went and taught school...were you in any of his classes? that would have been I think, kind of neat, but kind of strange too. thanks for sharing this with me...and here's to all of the veterans! by the way, if you are a vet or your husband, you can eat for free at the Golden Coral today. big hugs, Kelli
