The focus and concentration exhibited by these great religious artists is intense, to say the least. This mandala, created atop a small table, caused the artist/monks to spend hours at a time bent at the waist to stay close to the work. I was not surprised when I spotted one of these monks, on a break, vigorously massaging his hamstring muscles.
