She was one of my mother's close friends and classmates, who passed away in 2005 at the age of 92. She made an elaborate "horse" quilt for my daughter's wedding as recently as 2003! It was even photographed for the local paper. A remarkable woman indeed, and an icon in Middleton where she lived most of her adult life.
