Album Info:
entrance on Lake Avenue, Manchester, NH. The additions made to the School can be viewed on the right. In the background, you can also see the St. Augustine church steeple. The Orphanage eventually became known as a Boarding School since orphans attended less and less, most probably because the Grey Nuns opened a large orphanage on Kelley Street in the parish of St-Jean-Baptiste on the West side of the city and were able to accommodate more children. *Photo courtesy of the SP, Montreal, QC
