as seen from the intersection of Beech Street and Lake Avenue, Manchester, NH. Porches were added to the building by this time. They were later screened in with lattice so that the nuns could spend some time in the fresh air without being seen from the street. To the left may be seen a private home, which eventually came into the hands of the Sisters, who cared for elderly, female residents there till the mid-1950's. *Picture courtesy of the Srs of Providence Archives in Montreal, QC, CANADA
