102 Year Old, Chief Warrant Officer Julio 'Jay' Ereneta, USN (Ret.) pays respects at memorial commemorating the gallant actions of 'Taffy 3' commanded by Rear Admiral Clifton A. F. 'Ziggy' Sprague, USN, at the Battle off Samar, Leyte Gulf, 25 October 1944. In August 1922 at Newport, Rhode Island, Ereneta flew his first aircrewman flight in an F5L Seaplane of USS WRIGHT (AZ-1) piloted by the young Lieutenant 'Ziggy' Sprague, USN.
