Aviation Chief Radioman (ACRM, Combat Aircrewman) Julio 'Jay' Ereneta, USN, was the Senior Radioman/Gunner Aircrewman, Flight Operations, Naval Air Station, North Island, San Diego, California, January 1942. At the onset of World War Two, Ereneta was already a twenty-three (23) year veteran of World War One. Later in 1942 he was appointed and subsequently commissioned as a Chief Warrant Officer.   • What a Treasure of History for the family of this Sailor, as well as the US Navy today..thank you for sharing..I am amazed that a man of this time period even thought about saving all these photo's and pieces of information..most young men wouldn't even think about doing that today..Good Job! He has represented us well and honors us still today by having done so...
