My first visit to my parent's home on Heald St. in MANCHESTER, NH after becoming Sr. Gertrude, OSB. Elena Cyzaite (Sr. Agniete, d.1998.06) was the Mistress of Novices. Since I was the only novice, I got her wholehearted attention, which meant that I was often reprimanded for NOT walking like a nun, for RUNNING up the stairs in an unlike nun fashion, for having my head gear on crooked (note the breast plate in this picture... It's crooked!
