Vojvodina is actually a part of Serbia. The people in that area are Serbian - Hungarian - German. The Yugoslavia Govt. granted the Vojvodina region internal autonomy, so that all enthnic minorities have their own schools, newspapers, theaters and cultural associations. As a result this part of the country is a fascinating pattern of different customs, costumes and music.
