This position is one of the two built to protect the Afsluitdijk. Its casemates were very heavy for Dutch standards, because their construction was paid by the Ministry of Roads and Canals. This casemate has three machine-guns, one of them firing to the rear. Left of the embrasure you can see the dilatation joint.
