Position of Amsterdam: Spijkerboor is one of the two forts around Amsterdam equipped with an armoured turret. This one was armed with two 10,5 cm guns that had a range of 10 km. During WW II the fort was used as a prison so the turret was never scrapped by the Germans. For more photos please visit www.fortweb.net
