Position of Amsterdam: in the thirties the fort was incorporated in the new coast defense system. Therefore a small casemate was built near the fort which you can see on the right of the photo. It is a type S7 when means that it has seven embrasures. On the left is a very special construction: a German bunker for a depth charge thrower built during WW II.
