Position of Amsterdam: the shaft of the turret for two 15 cm guns. The Germans have scrapped the turret during WW II. As you can see the fort was built in brick whereas the other forts around Amsterdam were constructed in concrete. The reason is that the fort had been built before the position of Amsterdam, but was later added to it. For more photos please visit www.fortweb.net
