Album Info:

New Dutch Water Line: of course inundations played a very important role in the Water Line. A large number of sluices enabled the defenders to let in water and control the inundations. This sluice is located next to Fort Everdingen. It is one of the three sluices near the fort that could take in water from the river Lek. Recently all the water around the sluice was pumped away so it can be restored. The photo was taken from the land side. For more photos please visit www.fortweb.net
