New Dutch Water Line: the Dutch from the 19th century weren't that modern that they were equipped with gas filters. These filters were installed in the sixties when the lower level of the barracks of the fort were used as a command post for the Civil Protection. The post had its own generator, but in case of a power failure the crew had to man the bicycles and pedal to have fresh air. For more photos please visit www.fortweb.net
