Writer, journalist, humanitarian, passed away in Montreal on October 28, 2005.He was born January 15, 1911 in Nurnberg, Germany. His heritage home is still there. He made Canada his home since 1946. He was an accomplished writer, as well as humanitarian. He dedicated much of his life to exposing inhumanity - particularly to helpless animals. His book, " The Last Seal Pup " won wide acclaim and was a first of its kind, exposing the cruel practices employed in the baby seal hunt in Canada.
