Album Info:

This is the day MURIEL wore the Benedictine habit for the first time, and received her religious name: Sr. Gertrude, which was chosen by the Superior. St. Gertrude was a Benedictine and mystic writer. She was born in Germany on Jan. 6, 1256; and died at Helfta, near Eisleben, Saxony on November 17, 1301 or 1302. Nothing is known of her family, not even the name of her parents. Many of her writings, all in Latin, have been lost.
