Album Info:
To keep this engagement for a sitting at Brady's studio Lincoln had to walk there-after waiting for some time at the fron portico for his carriage which never showed up. This was on February 9, 1864, a month before the appointment of General Grant to full command.

I believe this is the photo used for the image on the cent. It was in Life Magazine (fairly large) many years ago; I have it in a gold frame in my computer room/study. I have the book, "The Face Of Lincoln" by James Mellon and "Lincoln, An Illustrated Biography" by Kunhardt & Kunhardt - two of my most prized possessions. Your albums are THE GREATEST!! All the genres I am interested in and more! Lincoln has always been my hero, even though I am Canadian, born and bred. My dad was born in Illinois however, and still have piles of cousins there. I have a set of albums at Webshots too, mostly of old family pictures, and some with antique Christmas cards, etc. God bless you! Dale A.
