Your photos brought back alot of memories! I was an IM2 aboard the USS Jason AR-8 from '68 to Dec. '70 and did two West Pacs. I want to dig out my old slides and do a similar album. Deja'vu!!

Loved the old picture of the Okie City!!! I was on board from Aug '71 to Jan '74. I was a GMM in the Talos missile house. A lot of great times were had during those years!! It was a sad day when I read that she had been sunk!!

I was shooting pictures of the admiral from the USS DENNIS J. BUCKLEY DD 808 when he was addressing our ship. Is there any way of obtaining any real photos of your pictures except of the web. Harold

I was a gunner on the USS Truxtun and remember Jimmy Dant? Do you have any other pics of the Truxtun? Hope to see some of the old timers in San Diego in November.

I really enjoyed all of your pictures. They brought back a lot of memories. I was a Gunner'mate on the Hanson DD-832, and did three tours to the gunline from 1969 through 1972, including quite a few trips into Haiphong harbor up north in 1972. More than a few fireworks and holes in the superstructure. haha. Thanks for the memories. GMG3 Elliott

Hello CGN35, In 72 we, CGN9/NZXB, pulled into Yokosuka. It seems it is the same hidden dry docked, as we were NUC's. I was under the impression that the CVN Enterprise was the only other nuc skimmer to have been to Japan prior to us CGN9. Please clarify if I have this info wrong. Jim Perkins 70-76 USN

Enjoyed your pictures, I was stationed on the Truxtun from mid 72 until Feb. of 76. I see the Navy has scrapped the Truxtun now along with the Bainbridge, Long Beach, and all the newer (DLGN/CGN'S) that were built.
