Bill, I served aboard the Sherman from '70-'72. Wayne Courtney RM3. I have pictures of the radio shack and communication gear as she sits today at Webshots wcourt47. I remember her call sign NFPS as I was a 2304 high speed code operator back then. Are you a member of the USS Forrest Sherman (DD-931) foundation? We look forward to going aboard again, after she is refurbished and put on display at the Baltimore Maritime Museum. How come you ended up in Radar with a Ham Radio background? wcourt47@comcast.net
