These pictures are absolutely wonderful. My name is Susan Helber and I was born in Bonne Terre and lived there 'til age six. My dad and his four brothers lived there during these years pictured. I think I see John Clark Helber watching the funeral. These are great pictures and help us realize what life was really like.

Wow, Although I'm not from Missouri, I really enjoyed your photos and especially liked the Sam Hildebrand house and hideout, and the funeral photos from the WWI veterans. Thanks for sharing. L. Anderson

Hello bwarner, I have truly enjoyed viewing your collection of photos and postcards of vintage Bonne Terre, Missouri. Of more than passing interest are your photos of the First Congregational Church, since I am a member of this congregation as well as Church organist/pianist. Would it be possible for me to include some of the pictures contained in your Bonne Terre collection on our Church website? You may contact me at moroboy@charter.net thank you, Thomas Spears

Hi! My name is Cynthia AuBuchon Emily. My AuBuchon Grandparents lived on Stone Street, & I lived on St. Joseph St. until 1957 when we moved to Sullivan with the mine. Enjoyed the pictures.

Hi I am direct desendent of Dr. Lee Turley. Who grew up in Bonne Terre Mo. and was well known to hundreds of families in and around Bonne Terre. He had his practice there in Bonne Terre for over 45 years. He was the Mayor from April 8th 1918 to 1920 April 6th. My father still resides in the area and the now funeral Home which used to be his residence (Dr.Turley)has an old plaque outside his old office there on Main street. Just wondered if anyone had any old pictures from that era that i might download? I love the photos that are already available. Thanks

You have done a great job bringing out the very old pictures to share rather than leave them in a dusty old attic!! Thank You!
