    • What a wonderful album, capturing these rural gems of yesteryear. Really enjoyed it, Sam. Thanks also for overcoming three recaptcha to comment on my cc-flower entries, as much appreciated. Best wishes from Guelph, ON, Elm

Thank you so very much for visiting my Sunflower album and your many wonderful comments. What a nice surprise. • Hi Sam, I love places like this. After Christmas I need to take a couple of road trips and photograph old barns, homesteads and bridges. I don't think I will find any covered bridges, as you have. Thanks for sharing. You commented on the photos of the dead pine tree. I was blessed to find that tree. I saw it from a great distance, and walked 15 minutes out of the way to photograph it. I got kind of carried away, and must have taken about 10 photos. I only posted a few. I'm glad that you liked and commented on that photo.

    • Hello my dear Sam, so many warm thanks for your great comments on my ''Crozon'' album, featured recently, wow! Such a lovely surprise to see it on the home-page and receiving so much beautiful comments from dear friends like you, it makes this day better than my birthday! More, it gives to me the opportunity to look at again this marvellous album in slide-show and I can say I love it very much! You captured these fascinating wooden barns, old stores and gas stations in a magnificent way, a pleasure to look at them by dreaming that I am in a pink Cadillac along the marvellous Old 66 Road! Hope this dream will become true one day, even without the pink Cadillac, lol... Thanks for sharing the beauty around you with us, will come back soon, have a fantastic day my dear friend, warm regards from Camargue, Geneviève

    • The country has the same flavor whether in your neck of the woods or mine (eastern NC) I can drive our country lanes and see much the same as yours. This is a wonderful album. Thanks for your comment on my sad old house challenge photo. I can see why your would be drawn to that one :) Judy of North Carolina

    • Hi Sam: Wonderful reminders of old -but not really so old!- times! We, too, love discovering big and small signs of ancient times, and try to interpret them! - Thank you so much for yesterday's comment in one of our CCs, and today's kind comment to our Pink Granite Album! We have to keep in contact! - Best wishes: Kaethi and Henri

    • Hi Sam, You found a photographer's dream on that back road. Lovely album - just the type of things I like to shoot. Maybe it's a wonder the roofs of the buildings have not been taken to rag and metal for profit. Or, maybe the don't want tin - I don't know. lol Around here even old plumbing and wiring is up for grabs. Hope you are doing well. - DeeAnne :)

    • Hello my dear Sam, I was delighted to visit again this so beautiful and interesting album. Some pics were familiar to me, and your add some fantastic shots. The old barns and gas stations are a true poem, thank you so much to share all these old beauties with us, I enjoyed a lot the virtual tour in rural American area, this is fantastic that people like you keeps these old things alive! Many thanks also for your wonderful comments on my Atlantic album, wow, in French! They are warmest appreciated. Yes, I was on a fisherman boat to take shots of Etocs Rocks, and the first time I saw seals in their own element, what a great meeting! Spannish Coast is too much far from here, impossible to see it, pictures weres taken on the North-West coast of France, where I had magnificent holidays last summer. Dear Sam, thank you again for your visit, wish you a splendid day and all the best, with warm regards, Geneviève

    • Hi Sam: We love old buildings of any kind, at least as far as someone is in charge of "keeping them alive", with special preference of bridges. Thank you for presenting your findings. And many thanks also for yesterday's friendly cc comments! Best wishes Kaethi and Henri

    • Sam, this is a lovely album dedicated to yesteryear! I love old photos and photos of old things, that have remained unchanged for many a year. I just adore those covered bridges you have in the USA, we dont have any here, but we do have a few old iron metal bridges which are only used by cars now as all the trucks and those big SUV's wont fit under them! I have just brought a slide and negative converter, so I can convert and upload some old photos. Thanks for your comments on my family album. I love looking at it myself, makes me misty eyed looking at Dad! When I go to members albums page I always look to see if they have family/people photos first! Have a great day and weekend ahead, Cheers Robyn :)
