Hi Jim, my friend mrspumpkin just posted a fire picture album she had tucked away too. Congratulations on the newspaper making your picture front page. Looks like a great shot

Hi Jim, fires seem to be the theme for February, at least in these parts. A neat bit of photojournalism here, looks like you were quick off the mark; well done.

How soul destroying for the owners! Some wonderful shots though - how sad that something as stunningly beautiful as fire is SO destructive. My heart goes out to the owners, who I hope were unharmed. Saludos from Sheina in Argentina.

What a horrible fire. Great shots though. People that fight fires are true heros. I'm sure the area around the fire was a tinderbox, so they probably stopped much worse damage from happening. Dan

You really did manage to get some exceptional shots Jim. One must view each one in full view to very see how well turned out. I hope no one was home of managed to get out on time.We can take the rain and snow but fire can destroy so much more.

Hi Jim, This is a spectacular, but sad album. I just hope, that no one was hurt. Pet your dog, for me. Thanks for sharing it, with us. All The Best, Teresa

Fantastic pictures Jim, though the subject matter is very sad. Did you submit any to the local news people? Give your dog a big hug for alerting you to the danger. It could so easily have been your life that was saved, but thankfully it was not your home that was on fire. Thumbs up to the firemen who acted so quickly.

I don't think anything scares me more than the thought of my home burning down. I have seen a home burn before. I don't like it, but these photos are beautiful...Marie

Great shots Jim. Fire is so photogenic, it's a shame its' so destructive. I live in Victoria (Australia), and we have just had the worst bushifires in history, with some fires still burning, 2 weeks after they started. Vicki

Jim, great shots, it doesn't take long for a fire to completely destroy all things in its path. Give your dog a pat on the head and an at-ah-boy for me. - Kirk
