Sorry for the storm, but it sure made for a very interesting slide show and very scenic album. Thank you for the nice comment on my creative challenge entry. Hugs, Linda

Lorella

  • Kaethi and Henri - thanks for your comments on my additions to my weather vane album. And much as I would like to see some of those European vanes, I don't think that will happen in the near future. This is a very interesting album. The news here never misses a story about tornadoes and windstorms here, but I never got the news about this one or almost any other European storm. These are fabulous photos, although I do feel sorry for the affected people (of which I hope you were not one of them). Keep up the good work. Mike

A bientot. Mille bises. Michelle

• Hi Kaethi and Heinz...What a shame to have this happen with the tree damage and especially people losing their lives. And people without power for a long time. It must have been so difficult. Now that the trees are being cut, I hope the small branches and downed trees will be cleaned up. Its a beautiful park and I liked seeing the long shots of big areas. It will only be beautiful again if the damage is taken away. Then new trees can be planted too and that is important for people to make sure they are planted. with hugs and love, Barbara

  • Hello Heinz and Kathy, Your album shows very well what damage the storm caused in the nature. It will take some time but no doubt eventually the nature will recover. Thanks very much for your visit to my Holiday Exhibtion 2009 album. I liked your comments! I can not deny that the Cuban stand draw a lot of attention to me. :))) It brought me in the right holiday mood. Nevertheless I will go to USA and I promise you will find shots of Arizona in my album... Warm regards, Tjebbe

  • Sad story and much damage, but someday it will all be grown up again and others will enjoy the trail. Julie and family are still trying to sell their house in Louisville and they heard from old neighbors there that the power was out in most of Louisville from the ice storm last week. Someone was kind enough to let their water faucets drip to keep the pipes from freezing and yesterday the power came back. Everything in the house appears to be fine. It's hard to take care of a house when you're 7 hours away. I think perhaps on your trail when it gets cleared enough for a small path, that the birds and other critters will enjoy the brush to hide and play in and maybe you will get many photos. Hugs and love, Sharon

  • Heinz and Kaethi...What devestation! The trail is impassable! Its sad that the healthy trees had to be cut down. They are so important for the environment and for us to see their beauty too. But when they are all cleared perhaps new ones will be planted in good weather and one day it will all be beautiful again for younger generations to admire. hugs and love, Barbara
