Hi Eva, A "blast from the past" and a very colourful and interesting one! I am not very conversant with European History, so I will have to do some research on the Battle of Gruenwald to understand the full significance of the pictures. My son has a degree in Medieval History, so he will be very interested to view it Thank you very much for sharing and for becoming one of my Webshots friends. Also thank you for viewing my "Hebridean Shells and Pebbles" album. I still have a lot of photos of our holiday in the Hebrides to sort through and upload, so I will be posting pictures of the beaches and castle during the course of the next few weeks. Wishing you a pleasant week-end, Kind regards, Kathryn

Hi Eva - This is a wonderful album! - I send you warm sunshine from The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village, Destin Florida USA - I am a new friend of Ilpo (ILphoto) – I saw that you are a friend too, so I visited your photos – I would like to be your WebShots friend, but I am having technical problems inviting people - So if you would like to be my WebShots friend, please invite me and I'll happily accept - If you get some time, please take a look at what I’ve been doing - All my art starts as a normal digital photograph – But, I think you might be surprised that I do not use any special digital manipulation software to create it – I pride myself on only using the basic rudimentary tools provided with my Canon camera – ZoomBrowser – I only tweak contrast, saturation, brightness and color tone curve adjustments to achieve the desired effect – The use of ChromaDepth 3D glasses great enhances the effect – Thanks - - Bright regards - - Go Cubs Go! - - Larry

The Battle of Grunwald (Poland) took place on 15 July 1410, with the Kingdom of Poland & the Grand Duchy of Lithuania ranged against the knights of Teutonic Order. It was one of the greatest battles of medieval Europe and saw the monastic State of Teutonic Knights decisively defeated- their order never recovered its former power. Since few years, on the anniversary a festival is held, to commemorate this battle. Thousands of knighthood & medieval history enthusiasts take part in a giant re-enactment of the battle.
