  • Hi Eric - was really pleased to see so many pictures on Finch Forge - been doing the family history and my ancester was a John Rowe who was working the Forge at least from 1841 - 1851. Must do a visit soon you never know there may even be more information to be had! Also believe my husband will be interested in your Dambusters items.

  • Hi Eric, it is always very interesting to travel in your albums, especially when they are devoted to history. I liked mills, old dry trees and old mine buildings. They are are very impressive. Though they say "the more we learn the less we know" but it is VERY nice to learn and learn. Thank you and Webshots.Have a good day.

  • This is a very interesting album dear Eric, which I enjoyedvery much.Recently we have been to south western anatolia and posted 4 albums about the Mediterranean, Dalyan where the seaturtles reproduce, the historical rock tombs, ancient cities of Lykians who lived here at very old times and St.Nicholaus tomb at Myra who lived there and was the archbishop. I think you will find interesting visiting if you have time. Have a very nice summer,as we are leaving for Kusadasi next week. Best wishes.

  • Hello Eric. Loved the album. I have really enjoyed my journey through your 'Historic South-West England'. Thanks for providing such detailed information. I always think it makes the photos a lot more interesting to look at. Shame you didn't get better weather. Glad to see the sun did shine at some point though. I was so disappointed in the weather in Italy at Easter. It was cold, we had torrential rain and a SNOW storm. Fortunately it was sunny intermittently. I'm hoping the weather here in the Midlands will start warming up. Apil has been nothing but rain.

  • Eric, I thoroughly enjoyed the album of the historic sites. Thanks for the informative captions which made the viewing more meaningful. Despite the bad weather the pictures have neither lost their importance and nor their sheen. To be frank with you, Stonehenge is the only landmark I am familiar with. Thanks for the educative virtual trip. I do appreciate it. Best wishes, Suresh

  • I found this album very interesting, Eric. It was great to see the mining area in particular. South Australia once had many Cornish miners and there are disused sites around the copper Triangle on the Yorke Peninsula. The local tourist food speciality offered is....Cornish pasty. Lol. So it was wonderful to have the chance to see where they came from back in England, Thanks. Joyce
