  • Hello Jay! Nice presentation about Hall of Valor! Although the history of glory is too hard to me to catch on what had happened in the past, I like your detailed and definite show! Thanks for sharing to help me understand the history. Shang from Taiwan

  • Dear Jay, This is a great album marking another Battlefield from the Civil War era. My Great-Grandfather W. N. Moore served in the Union army. He was up and down and in and out of New Market, VA many times during his short stint of service. He did not fight in this battle. He was wounded at the Battle of Antietam. And was in the very midst of the "Bloody Lane". To answer Sven, however this was not the War of Northern Aggression. The Civil War was started by the South, who fired the first shot, and was answered in kind by the North. This is a classic example of when two groups cannot settle their differences the honorable way, by discussion. Thousands of American citizens, both North and South lost their lives in a war that never should have happened. I have been a Civil War buff from way back and I symphathise with the Southerners in many ways, but today we are still a great nation. Could we say the same if the South had won? Would we still have slavery? Would the bigotry still apparent in both the the North and South be thousands of times worse? Oh, I know the actual cause is because of States rights, but that was only one excuse, not all of it. Thank God we are still The United STATES of America.
