Deanne, thanks for visiting my album(s). So much appreciated. We do miss you on 3paw, hope you would consider coming back. Although I do think that the membership is shrinking. I guess the weekly grind gets to be too much, and sometimes one thinks, if I don't visit their sites, they will not visit mine... Maybe my imagination. As I told you before, my daughter in law works at the local shelter, and the sheriff's dept is trying to close it down. We have petitions going around for signatures to keep the shelter open, but am afraid it is not going to stop them from closing it. Our town is small (about 10,000), but the county is quite large in which the shelter operates. I wished that there was a way I could get some Webshots members sending e-mails to them. Oh, well. Just a thought! Please keep in touch, big hugs, Trudy

DeeAnne, Can't help you here - one female Calico is enough. Ours, a stray wondered in one day 16 months ago and stayed and, of course, feeding her made her stay even more. She's quite the feline. Thanks for the album. ron

Hello DeeAnne, thank you so much for your comments in my creative challenge album! I appreciate it very much. I see you never participated in this challenge, but . . . . . . this week you HAVE to participate. The challenge is 'Pet Portraits'. Just add to 3 pictures the 'tag': creative-challenge-pets – that's all. I hope this will do some wonders to some homeless cats in the world!! :-) Galit

Dear Deeann. WOWOWOWOWOWOW what an album. Just great. And my wife told me to send you all here love for this great album. My wife is the Godmother of all the cats in our street and area. Once a month a envoy brings a sack of 50 kilo of dry cats food plus a dozen of the best cats food in cans. Of course we pay it - and the first thing and duty in the morning for my wife - is feeding the cats.....She have also a plastic box at here car full of food in case she will meet a poor cat......Thank you my friend for your more than nice comments at my " flea market" album. You have such a good heart, DeeAnne. Thank you for making this album. I have always been a softy for strays (my parents will vouch for that) I brought home everything I could find, and all my cats have either been strays or adopted. It is just so sad how irresponsible pet ownership is causing so many animals to be put to sleep each year! Happy New Year Ms. DeeAnne! Marita

Hi DeeAnne! What a touching album you made here! I do hope all these darling cats are already adopted by nice loving people. If the distance was not so far I adopted a couple myself. We love cats and the two cats we have now are also adopted last summer. They bring so much happiness and give you a lot of love. Have a wonderful weekend and take care. Kind regards, Henri and Josee

The cats are darling. I have four indoor cats and I have a large house that is heated and feed and neuter lots of feral cats. Living in the country next to an old barn attracts them. Thanks for your generous comments on my album.

Hi DeeAnne, You are a caring, loving person, thinking of the lost, abandoned, homeless, and hopeless animals. I have two dogs - the max. we're allowed here, but Jedda was rescued from the Mackay City Pound, before they could "put her down". Benjie the little Poodle x Shitzu? or Scnauzer??/Aussie Silky Terrier was confined to a backyard with matts all over - and not vaccinated to protect against heartworm (which is a big killer out here), or parvo, nor kennel-cough. I paid this character $75.00 Au. to let him give little Benjie a safer environment, with me, and spent $400.00 the next day at the Vet's for vaccinations, tests for heartworm (negative, thank God, and his thick coat!) and the desexing op. Both my dogs live with me in my little "donga" cottage with it's dog door - and sleep on my bed (it's warmer in winter, and there's always the chance of a scratch and cuddle!) Sorry, but I do ramble on when I have my two little loves on my mind. The other animals that have spent most of their lives with me, and lived to good ages, were "saves" as well. Just as well the Council will only let me have two dogs, my son Mark says! On an Aged Pension you couldn't afford any more!! Margaret.Qld.Au.

Awwww, I feel bad for these cats. They need a good home with lots of love. I once took a homeless cat to a shelter. It was outside in the cold cold winter. I made a little house for it with blankets and fed it every day till I could take it somewhere. Happy to say it did finally get a nice home. I'm finally taking a little time today to look at some photos DeeAnne!! LOL!! Hugs!!!

Howdy. The Cats are adorable. Nice of you to offer an album to help them -- hope they have found Faithful homes by now. My Fireworks attempts were done at a small Country Fair -- not much in free 5 - 6 minutes of intermittant Fireworks but enough to practice and learn on. I finally posted the last picture -- next year hope to go to a better show and try again. Charley

All of these sweet cats are adorable and your photos are very good. Umm, which one did you adopt? I would have been quite tempted to adopt sleeping beauty if I saw her in person. I like them all but medium to long hair cats especially appeal to me. I have Cocoa though and he wants to be the sole recipient of my love and affection. Hopefully all these kitties have their forever homes by now. :) Gail

Oh DeeAnne - I just love animals and birds. One look into their eyes is like looking into the eyes of one of our children - full of innocence and hope for trust - I do hope you keep us posted as to what happens to these darlings and would love to have at least 2 of them - cheers Connie

Hi DeeAnne, This is a beautiful album and a beautiful act on your part. I wish you much success in your efforts. Best wishes from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your very kind words on my insects album. Dragon flies can be very beautiful, but fairly difficult to photograph. One needs to have a medium to long telephoto that will produce a large enough image from far enough not to disturb the insect. One also needs to use a small enough opening to get the depth-of-field necessary to capture the whole animal in focus, but that can result in a slow shutter speed which may cause motion to blur the image. The photographer is caught between a rock and a hard place. That's why I take a lot of pictures in hope of getting one that's acceptable.
