Album Description:
The Navy's beloved Nautilus is now attached to its own pier here on the Thames River in CT. It is just up river from where it was built at Electric Boat. Welcome home Nautilus! (These are my digital photos.)

Hi Jade, Thank you very much for sharing these interesting educational pictures. The tour must have been fascinating, though the tours of duty must have got to be very boring once the novelty had worn off. The crew must have been very carefully vetted to make sure that they could withstand the prolonged isolation for normal living, as well as being very fit physically and highly proficient at their jobs. Very much a male working environment! Hugs, Kathryn

Hi Jade, I really enjoyed this album a lot. It is very interesting and shows a lot of what I didn't know about a submarine. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely weekend, regards, Henri and Josee.

A fantastic album, Jade! I am going to have go come back to download the pictures, as it is late, but before I go to bed, I am going to send an e-card to an elderly gentleman, who was a Royal Navy submariner, as he will love this album. Thank you so much for sharing and for your kind comments in my "Late Summer Hydrangeas" album. I have hurt my wrist with too much photo editing (pressing down on the mouse button, while enlarging cropped photos, so am going to have to cut back a bit. From now on, with few exceptions, if it is not good enough to upload as it is, it does not get uploaded! I hope you have a nice day and a pleasant week-end. Best wishes, Kathryn

I did not know Nautilus was now a museum ship. I remember it at a distance when in service, wish it was on the Thames river in UK so I could see it. Good photos on the inside, looks luxurious compared to the standard submarines of the day. Eric
