Medic, For the record: The ordinary Russians would not care less for that ruthless dictator Stalin, his henchmen and their propaganda machine. You totally misread my message. The ordinary Russian people were not given a democratic opportunity to choose their leader as THE GERMANS DID IN 1933. The Russian people were abused by Stalin but the genocidal doctrine of the German/Austrian and other collaborators threatened their BIOLOGICAL existence. It was not love for Stalin which motivated Russian people to fight on; they were unimaginable atrocities a barbaric treatment of "the liberated from bolshevism peoples which finally brought the arrogant self-appointed masters of the World to their knees in 1945. Look at thousands of ordinary poorly equipped Russian partisans who kept fighting the invader on their own behind the enemy lines without Stalin and his commissars. It says it all. Now to the point : many people in the West seem to forget that the Germanic Drang nach Osten was not designed to bring freedom from bolshevism to any European nation let alone to the Slavic peoples in the East. It was a colonial war of a total annihilation and enslavement of so called "inferior" races. Every German soldier KNEW it and any attempts of some crack pots on this site to justify that genocidal Nazi doctrine is criminal. These pictures show a lot but do not show gas chambers of Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor or mass execution sites in Ponary or Babi Yar. Alas Russian soldiers were not angels and they accepted "rules of engagement"(contradi cting any international rules and conventions)imposed by the ruthless Nazi aggressors. But they did not put German children, women and elderly into gas chambers. INDUSTRIAL METHODS OF KILLING people en mass and then "utilizing/recycling " their body parts bodies during WWII "invented" by Germans - otherwise one of the most civilized and technologically advanced European nations - are unmatched in history of world's civilization. The Germans will have to live with it forever...

Die Deutschen haben bekommen, was sie verdient haben. Naechstes Mal sollten die Deutschen zweimal darueber nachdenken bevor sie einen Fusstapfen auf fremdes Land setzen.

I appreciate your pictures…more than you can know. Both my Father’s and Mother’s family fought in the Heer and SS. Something they never discussed during their life. I often think when I view your pictures if I am looking at one of them.
