  • Hello Henri and Josee, Fascinating album! Makes one really think about the modern conveniences we use every day and so often take for granted. Sometimes I wish I lived back in the "good old days"; life seems to have been so much simpler. However, everyday chores were a lot more work! Lora

And thats for sure not so very long time ago. Time has really changed fast. Hope you will have a great day. We have had lots of snow tonight so I´m out showling when the dark is gone. Hugs and take care, Anne-Marie

  • Hi Henri! Thoroughly enjoyed this journey into the Past, and unfortunately, I have to admit that I am Old enough to remember almost all these precious items! It is a wonderful collection and you have photographed them beautifully so that each recalls memories from the Past. Well done and I hope you can keep adding to this album. Thankyou for all your lovely messages and for your interest in my albums. I understand what you mean about your cat pushing buttons. Clancy sometimes sits too close to my computer tower, leans against it and accidentally turns it OFF!! Now, I keep a pile of books in front of it to prevent accidents. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

  • Henri & Josee ..... I love stepping back into earlier times, looking at the tools and implements of those eras. This was no exception. I hope I didn't leave you too many 'little' notes! ... L@dybug hugs, Judy

  • Wonderful album both for its beauty and memories. I'm happy to say some articles are still part of our life down in Argentina. The weights, the baker's bicycle, the winnowing mill can still be seen in our provinces. I remember them too! One of the images and sounds I miss most are the armonicas of the man who sharpened knives and scissors and the good old chimney sweep all in black with his typical hat. They have disappeared. Thank you for sharing these dear memories.Best wishes from Argentina, Maria Elena

  • Hi, this is really outstanding. I love what you have presented here not only for the artistic value, but also for some memories you gave me. I especially liked #20, I still have my mothers scale and along with that the old weights. And I remember people using them, maybe that dates me a little bit. Am familiar with a some of the other things as well. Thanks... Trudy-Oregon
