Just wanted to Thank you for your help and posting the picutres. we could only imagine the total destruction in Lafayette as we have 3 families living with us from N.O. still, your pictures of natures fury put things in some kind of order. God Bless

Thank you for sharing these. You perfectly convey the devastation, and wry humor that nature seems so intent on slinging around.

I waned to say thank you for sharing the photos of the Ms gulf coast. As someone from Mississippi it was hard to know what was going on with my neighbors on the coast, my family and I had no phones or electricity for several weeks (sept 18) we have had power back for two days, and these are some of the first pics I have seen of our area thank you again!!

Thanks heaps for sharing a staggering album full of the destruction and devastation left behind. You have done an excellent job of capturing this tragedy, yet managed to find a sense of the peculiar with the naming. It is an absolute devastation and we are all praying that time can heal all the broken lives of the people. There are many many unbelievable scenes in here and it is certainly a witness for the power of nature and the ultimate respect that we all must have for it. Congratulations on a great coverage and amazing to see that Guitar still standing. Thanks heaps for sharing and wish I was there to lend a helping hand and God speed the recovery of all as you are all in our hearts and prayers. This leaves me feeling helpless. Do take care. Kindest regards..Em from Aussie

So horrable what Katrina did. I been to New Orleans once and now to see it like this so sad. Congratulations on your featured album.

These pictures make me so sad. We were there in July and I took a picture of the guitar at the hard rock cafe. I was glad to see it still standing. I feel blessed my family and I were able to see it in it's glory. We had a student from New Orleans start at the school I work at today. He said his family did get out but it will never be the same and they will probably never go back. Congratulations on your featured album.

I sent many months in combat during WW II and witnessed much devastation, but nothing like this. My heart goes out to the hundreds of victims, especially the children between the ages of three and seven who have no idea of what and why this is happening to them.
said quikhitch
These photos don't paint a very pretty picture. It's all such a tragedy. I notice the place is a virtual ghost town understandably. Thanks for sharing and keeping us aware. My prayers and thoughts are with the people of New Orleans. Susan/S.C.

As grim as these photos are, you managed to show good humor in your captions. I enjoyed that very much...especially the quips about the media, Mental Health facillity and the Insurance office! Great photos of an unfortunate and sad situation. My prayers are with you. Charlotte (NH, CT.)

Heh that was kinda funny where the UK fella said that they received no Biloxi coverage because all the attention was focused on Mississippi. Anyways, re > your photo entitled *Casino Hotel* ... or something like that ... I liked the effect of the photographer's image in the vehicle's rear-view mirror. ~ that was all ~

It's been two weeks since Hurricane came ashore. I am leaving Greenville, Al. on the 15th with a trailer load of personal products, and cleaning supplies. Can you give me a suggestion of someone local that I could contact to get this to the people it should go to. AND PLEASE DON"T tell me...to call the Red Cross. I have called 6 times and I am going to drive these things down to the Missisippi Coast. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Cynt

Thank you for sharing these incredible photos. Two weeks ago we had a typhoon here in Taiwan and thousands of trees in our city were broken and uprooted but not much other serious damage----I was struck, looking at your photos, at how many trees seemed to have survived...large and small.

Biloxi doesn't get much coverage here in the UK, It's all about Mississippi. Your photos show a lot more than the T.V. though. ps Were the slot machines emptied before or after the storm, if you get my meaning?
said notdavidbailey
It is hard to visualise the destruction that has taken place but your photo's certainly help. I live along way from you, (New Zealand)but I still feel the total helplessness that you must feel. Keep your chin up. Tony
