  • Early 1900-SOUTH MAIN STREET BRIDGE spanning the Merrimack River in Manchester, NH The South Main Street Bridge does not cross the Merrimack River, it crosses the Piscataquog River.

  • Had a neighbor try to tell me that there never was a span bridge that went from Bridge St to West side. The proof is in your pictures, The Notre Dame Bridge. Just need to find out the year they tore it down to replace it with what we have today. Also thank you for keeping franco-american history alive it is so important to this community and most newcomers don't even realize it. Most of Manchester is turning spanish so the french is slowly being lost.

  • Playerdoris....should you have any old photos of Manchester that you wish to share with our viewers, they would be most welcome. Also, if you're of French-Canadian extraction, do get in touch with me at lineage42@hotmail.com
