  • Hello Susie; This is a great album you have made of our State Capitol. And WOW,,,you even added all the important information. I did get to run by the Capitol for a few minutes, earlier this year. It was cold, and also on Saturday, so the place was closed, so I didn't get to go inside. Maybe later this year. Have a Happy Easter....Patty

  • Susie, You always do a fantastic job with all of your info. I love it. I just wanted to let you know that my Grandfather Elias E. Moore and his brother-in-law Frank Cooper were among those men who voted to make Oklahoma a state. They left there not too long after because my Grandmother who had just had a new baby suffered from a nervous breakdown (now would be called Post partum depression) and they took her and went back to their homestate of WV where they lived out the rest of their lives. Sadly to say that the baby she had in Nowata Oklahoma, died while she was in the sanitorium. My father was her next child. All in all she had 8 children, 6 of whom lived to adulthood but one other child, a little daughter, died from diptheria.

  • Susie, this is an incredibly well-done album! As a fellow Oklahoman, I was filled with pride when viewing the pictures and reading the captions. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into giving others a taste of our history and the signifcance of the icons of our state. I'm crossing my fingers for a nice weekend day in the near future... I'm hoping to spend some time in the downtown/bricktown area with my camera. This album certainly inspired me to get busy!! Again, great job! Mandy in Oklahoma

  • Hi Susie! Thank you for all the comments on the parade floats! Of course, you may use any of them that you would like! In fact, I'll check later & see if I have any others & I'll let you know! It really is fun to get the detail that you miss during the parade! I'm so glad that there were special pictures just for you!!! BTW - we got Michelle a new puppy yesterday, so I'm sure I'll be posting some new pics ASAP! Hugs from California, Lynn
